High-speed core networks face an
increasing number of security
challenges; Security of the routers,
of routing protocols, VPN
environments such as MPLS, and
operational stability under
denial-of-service attacks. As
hackers become more sophisticated
and more attacks are targeting the
core networks, core network security
has become of paramount importance.
In this three-day event we
address advanced security issues
that service providers and very
large enterprise networks face. We
will go through all the steps
required to securely operate a
routers in a large network and
through routing security with
authentication, filtering and secure
operation and management. We will
extensively discuss counter measures
against denial-of-service attacks
and their operational aspects,
including products from our partners
Arbor Networks and Riverhead. New
technologies and future features
within IOS made to further enhance
core network security will also be
reviewed.
This event is targeted at senior
security engineers of service
providers who are involved in the
design and operation of the security
within their core networks. It will
also be of interest for security
engineers of very large enterprises,
although the focus is clearly the
core network.
A good understanding of current
service provider security techniques
as described required to ensure that
maximum benefit is gained from
attending this event.
